The monitoring card utilizes Valtoris’s VT-CHIP101 chip, which converts UPS monitoring serial data into Ethernet connectivity. The core functionality of the VT-CHIP101 series involves UART to TCP/IP protocol conversion – transferring UART-received data to the cloud/computer and forwarding cloud/computer data to UART. These functions are achieved through pre-programmed firmware, allowing users to simply configure the chip for immediate use. It can be considered a single-chip serial-to-Ethernet converter and IoT chip.
