    Beyond Connectivity: Our Engineering Philosophy

We don’t just transmit data. We solve the fundamental integration bottlenecks that plague agricultural automation projects.

Smashing Data Silos & Vendor Lock-in

Stop juggling multiple proprietary sensor apps. Our gateways are entirely Vendor-Agnostic. We translate raw Modbus RTU telemetry from any third-party sensor directly into open MQTT/JSON payloads, ensuring seamless ingestion into your preferred cloud platform.

    Breathing Life into Legacy Infrastructure

You shouldn’t have to rip and replace a $50,000 fertigation machine just to get it online. Our Protocol Gateways act as translators, safely bridging decades-old RS-232/485 equipment to modern IP networks with minimal CapEx.

    Surviving Connectivity Blackouts

When cellular towers drop, crops and livestock are at risk. Our 8CH-IO controllers feature localized Edge Computing logic. Even if the farm loses internet completely, the local edge node continues to execute critical “DI-controls-DO” commands to force-start ventilation and pumps.

From Precision to Profit: The ROI Benchmark

We measure ROI in concrete engineering savings. By deploying Private Sub-GHz LoRa, you immediately eliminate the staggering labor costs of trenching miles of RS485 cable, and you bypass the recurring OPEX of monthly 4G SIM subscriptions for every field node.

    Standardized Hardware, Scenario-Specific Execution

We deploy the same ruggedized industrial base across the entire farm. The logic changes based on the physical assets we connect to.

The Unified Cloud Pipeline: Installed safely in the main farm control room, acting as an industrial DTU for agriculture IoT. It aggregates all the LoRa data from the pumps, barns, and greenhouses above, packaging it into standard MQTT JSON payloads and pushing it through a secure IPsec VPN tunnel to the municipal or corporate AWS/Azure dashboard.

    Deep Dive: Smart Agriculture FAQ

Do you provide the Agriculture Software / Dashboard?
No, we are hardware communication experts. Valtoris provides the unbreakable physical layer (LoRa/4G) and protocol translation (Modbus to MQTT). We purposefully avoid software lock-in, allowing AgTech software companies and System Integrators to push our standard JSON data directly into their own proprietary SCADA or AWS/Azure dashboards.
How do remote field nodes get power if there is no electrical grid?
Industrial agriculture requires off-grid resilience. Our VT-LR600 modems and 8CH-IO edge controllers support a wide 9-24V DC power input and boast extreme low-power consumption. Integrators typically power these remote nodes using a compact 12V/24V solar panel paired with a deep-cycle battery housed in a NEMA enclosure.
Why use Private LoRa instead of LoRaWAN for my farm?
Standard LoRaWAN requires a complex Network Server (cloud dependency) to parse data, which introduces latency and point-of-failure risks. Valtoris utilizes Private Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) LoRa. It acts as an invisible, zero-latency RS485 cable. Your main PLC polls remote field sensors directly via Modbus RTU, completely offline and with zero cloud complexity.
How do you protect field nodes from lightning strikes in open farmland?
Open-field deployments, such as remote irrigation pumps, are highly susceptible to lightning-induced surges. Our edge controllers and LoRa modems feature built-in opto-isolation and high-voltage surge protection on all RS485 and power terminals. This prevents ground loops and electromagnetic interference (EMI) from traveling back and destroying your main PLC.
