The device has a dedicated hardware “Config” switch (DIP switch). Simply dial it to “ON” to enter configuration mode, connect it to your PC using a standard RS232 or USB-to-RS485 adapter, and easily configure your channels and baud rates using our free VirCom Tool for Windows.
Will standard 2.4G factory Wi-Fi networks interfere with this Zigbee serial data?
No. The VT-ZIGBEE series employs advanced DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) technology which offers strong anti-jamming capabilities. You can also select from 16 independent channels to ensure no overlap with local Wi-Fi frequencies.
Can I connect multiple VT-ZIGBEE700 nodes to a single RS485 master PLC?
Yes. You can easily configure a Point-to-Multipoint (Star) or Mesh topology. The polling requests of the PLC will be transparently broadcasted, and the addressed slave node will reply, perfectly emulating a traditional wired RS485 daisy-chain over the air.
