Summary:
VT-FB800 is an optoelectronic conversion device that converts 10M/100M Ethernet electrical signals into optical signals or vice versa. By converting electrical signals into optical signals and transmitting them over single-mode optical fibers, the limitation of short cable distances is overcome, enabling Ethernet to achieve long-distance transmission of several kilometers to hundreds of kilometers using optical fiber media while ensuring high bandwidth transmission.
VT-FB800 has two key advantages:
1. Designed for industrial applications. Power input can be via a plug or two-wire terminal block, supporting a wide input voltage range of 9–24V.
2. Employs a single-mode, single-fiber optical fiber connection. This saves on fiber optic costs for long-distance transmission compared to dual-fiber converters.
It can be applied to various applications that require extending the transmission distance of industrial Ethernet via fiber optic cables; it can also be used in places where Ethernet devices and optical switching devices need to be connected.
Note: VT-FB800 comes in two sub-models: VT-FB800-A (A-end unit) and VT-FB800-B (B-end unit). These two models must be used in pairs. That is, A-end unit connects to B-end unit; B-end unit connects to A-end unit. Units with the same ports cannot be connected together.
1. One RJ45 Ethernet port and one single-fiber SC optical port enable photoelectric signal conversion between twisted-pair and fiber optic cables;
2. Compliant with IEEE 802.310Base-T and IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX, 100Base-FX standards, allowing interconnection with other products;
3. 10M/100M auto-sensing capability;
