Which PROFINET Conformance Class does the VT-SW8PN fall under?
Conformance Class A (CC-A). Being an unmanaged switch, it natively supports RT (Real-Time) frame prioritization and transparently forwards LLDP packets for PLC topology mapping. It is engineered for standard factory I/O and VSD drives, but is not suitable for Class C (IRT) isochronous motion loops.
Can I run Rockwell EtherNet/IP and Siemens PROFINET traffic simultaneously?
Yes, perfectly compatible. The internal switch engine executes IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service. It routes standard EtherNet/IP data smoothly while ensuring PROFINET RT cyclic packets (VLAN Priority 6) bypass the standard holding buffer instantly.
What is the switchover interruption time when a redundant power supply fails?
Zero milliseconds (0ms). The dual DC9~60V / AC24V non-polarity power inputs rely on internal diode-ORing. If Power Source V1 fails completely, the active load shifts to Source V2 seamlessly with zero power-cycle delay or packet loss.
