High-Density Connectivity: 8 Gigabit PoE+ Ports

Clear out your cabinets and cut down on wiring. The switch has eight dedicated 10/100/1000Base-T(X) RJ45 ports with up to 30W of PoE+ power (IEEE 802.3af/at). It easily powers high-density 4K PTZ camera arrays, Wi-Fi 6 APs and industrial sensors - all from one, centralized device.

Dual Gigabit SFP Uplinks for Daisy-Chain Topologies

100-meter copper limitation broken. This switch has two independent 1000Base-X SFP slots for long distance, interference-free fiber transmission. It gives the basic in-out routing for linear daisy chain networks along highways or very resilient redundant fiber rings.

Extreme Endurance: -40°C to +85°C & IP40 Metal Shell

Built for the harshest environments. Housed in a rugged, fanless IP40 metal casing, this switch guarantees flawless operation across an extreme temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Network ports are fortified with Level 4 ESD immunity and 6kV lightning surge protection to withstand severe outdoor electrical transients.

Fail-Safe Dual Redundant Power Inputs

Ensure zero downtime on the network. The device features dual DC48-52V redundant power inputs via a secure 5-pin terminal block. If the main power fails, the backup takes over immediately. This unmanaged switch offers true plug-and-play simplicity on standard 35mm DIN-rails, no software configuration required.

I want to power 8 heavy-load PTZ cameras simultaneously. What external power supply do I need?
This is a crucial calculation in engineering. If you want to use the full PoE+ capability on all 8 copper ports (up to 30W per port for PTZ cameras or outdoor APs with heaters), your total possible PoE load is 240W. To ensure absolute stability and to prevent the power supply from overheating, you need to provide an external DC 48V~52V industrial DIN-rail power supply of at least 300W (for a safe 20% operational headroom).
My switch is deployed outdoors, but the fiber link drops during freezing weather. Is the switch failing?
Likely not; check your SFP transceivers. A very common deployment oversight is inserting standard “commercial-grade” SFP optical modules (which are only rated for 0°C to +70°C) into an industrial switch. While the VT-SW10GP-2GF-8GTPOE itself is heavily ruggedized to withstand -40°C to +85°C, the SFP modules you install must also be “Industrial-Grade”. If a commercial SFP freezes or overheats, the optical link will drop, even though the switch board is running perfectly.
Will a high volume of 4K video traffic from 8 cameras cause frame drops on an unmanaged switch?
No, video streaming will remain perfectly smooth. Aggregating traffic from 8 high-resolution cameras can create severe data bursts that overwhelm cheap commercial switches. However, this switch utilizes a true non-blocking 20 Gbps backplane combined with a 1.5 Mbit packet buffer. This industrial-grade hardware easily buffers micro-bursts of video data from all 8 Gigabit ports and effortlessly forwards them to the SFP uplink without dropping frames or adding latency.
